DesignJoy πΊπΈ
With the shortage of certain tech jobs, one solution stands out: finding part-time
freelancers.
Design is particularly interesting for this, since many companies (or projects within
companies) need a designer, but not necessarily full-time.
Hence the idea of Designjoy.co (and many others like https://baked.design/) to
develop an interesting revenue model:
The interest for them? If they move quickly, they can have a very interesting hourly
rate! For example, the founder of Designjoy boasts of having a very good hourly rate.
For Designjoy, taking 1 month at $5000, you could, for example, create a complete landing
page (or more), which ultimately isn’t too expensive in terms of rates. The idea probably
already exists in your country but we think there’s still a lot of space of task-based
part-time services like that.
$100,000 per month for DesignJoy (solopreneur), and…
Still probably not (too much) in your country (for now π): https://www.designjoy.co
Convertcalculator π³π±
We often wonder why companies are forced to hide their prices behind a “Schedule a demo”.
Don’t you?
Possibly, it brings in more revenue, because the client enters into a “funnel”…at
least, that’s what marketing experts say.
But after the demo, why not let the client test the different variables of the price, to
see if he prefers such option, and he can co-build his rate?
For now, few sites offer calculators to calculate the costs of a service / solution (ok,
you obviously know the legendary Google Cloud calculator where we often get lost
ourselves). And it’s a real shame, because it could give more freedom to customers, and
possibly reduce the “commercial” costs of companies a bit.
That’s why we present ConvertCalculator, which is a tool for any type of online
calculators (including cost estimates/simulators, but not only that). The tool is great
(we’ve tested it), but itβs too bad itβs only in English because we can’t pass it on to a
colleague if they don’t speak English well.
What we find most interesting about this tool is the ability to create real-time quotes:
calculate the cost of installing solar panels considering cost prices, create a gardening
quote, etc.
The use cases for small business are numerous, and that’s also why we think we need local
versions of this tool: so that user guides, templates, and customer support are all in
their native language.

Kanda π¬π§
What if craftsmen could more easily offer payment terms to their customers?
This would enable them to :
That’s the idea behind Kanda, a tool that enables craftsmen to offer their customers a
financing option in just a few minutes.
A sort of credit agency dedicated to craftsmen.
Of course, there are already plenty of “work credits” offered by traditional banks, but
not specifically for craftsmen.
Seed fundraising (amount unknown), and…
